Heartiest congratulations to Manu Viswam, recently graduated from CAT, whose architectural thesis “Urban Scar to Social Commons – A Heritage Museum for Cashew Legacy, Culture, and Community of Kollam” has been selected among the Top 5 in the Architecture Project Category at this year’s COA Awards The project reimagines Kollam’s abandoned cashew-industrial waterfront as a vibrant public realm, transforming an urban scar into a social commons. By reconnecting the city with its industrial heritage, working-class legacy, ecology, and waterfront, the project envisions a new cultural landmark rooted in Kollam’s past while looking towards its future. A special congratulations to Manu Viswam @manchacks and his mentor, Sreeram Ramesh @sreeram_ramesh , for this remarkable achievement and recognition.
