An Architect and Planner by training, Neena has a rich experience of over 38 years in the field of Architecture, primarily as an academician with a sound administrative experience. After her retirement from the Department of Architecture of CET, she joined C.A.T in 2019 and took over as the Principal from April 2022 onwards.
As a teacher, she believes in empowering the learners to function as responsible and sensitive designers for the future. Her research activity tends towards housing and related areas, with focus on socio-economic, cultural and behavioural factors of the users / user groups, in the design of built and non-built environments. She has collaborated on various planning and housing projects that are both innovative and inspiring while placing true value on the sensitivities of community and environment. She has served on numerous advisory boards and professional bodies and has associated with national and international organisations.
