Assistant Professor
Eva Thomas is an architect and researcher passionate about interdisciplinary collaborations that bridge theory and practice through narratives, built typology research, histories and details.
With a postgraduate degree in Architectural History and Theory from CEPT University, Ahmedabad, India, Eva initially worked for a year at CEPT as a teaching associate for History courses and currently works as an academician at her B.Arch alma-mater, C.A.T., Trivandrum. She believes that it matters how worlds make stories and how stories make worlds.
Alongside her professional endeavors and publications, she indulges in creative pursuits such as writing, painting, and music, highlighting the importance of diverse perspectives. Her published works includes the book chapter “Taps, Walls, Seats: The Contested Street Commons in Veli, Kerala” (2022), co-authored with A. Padmanabhan, featured in The Social Life of Streets in India: Histories, Contestations and Subjectivities, edited by S. Jha and G. Bharat, and published by Bloomsbury Publishing.
