Mr. Ameen Ali Shanavas

Ameen Ali Shanavas is a visual storyteller, animation filmmaker, and illustrator from Kerala, India, specializing in animation, illustration, and design.
Drawing from a blend of cultural roots and global aesthetics, he aims to craft stories that connect with people while staying true to his personal experience of the world. He believes in the transformative power of narratives that transcend boundaries.
Ameen completed his Bachelor of Design in Animation Film Design from the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad, in 2021, where he focused on animation filmmaking, character design, and world-building, and developed an animated film as his graduation project. He later worked as a 2D Animator and Animation Film Designer at Studio Eeksaurus Productions Pvt. Ltd., Mumbai (2022–2023), contributing to projects including the animated film Sri Aurobindo – A New Dawn for the Sri Aurobindo Society. During his time at the studio, he collaborated with animators and directors on character animation and visual storytelling while gaining practical experience in professional animation pipelines and studio workflows. Alongside studio work, he has also contributed to projects such as the title sequence for Aavesham and advertising work including the Thums Up campaign series.
