Smitha is an architect and practitioner with strong research interests in the urban ecological systems, and high-rise structure design explorations in urban areas.

Her academic profile includes a Master’s degree in Urban Design from CET, Trivandrum and a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from GEC Thrissur. The professional background encompasses serving as an In-house architect for a reputable builder from 2011 to 2016 and founding an architectural firm named ERA Concepts in 2006. She then joined as faculty of CAT and has engaged several urban design studios with locations identified across India.
