Swathy Pushpalochanan is an animation filmmaker, visual storyteller, and educator whose work explores human emotions and lived experiences through animation.
Swathy pursued his Master’s in Animation Film Design from the National Institute of Design, where he developed a strong interest in narrative-driven animation and visual storytelling. His practice focuses on authenticity in storytelling, drawing from personal observations and real-life narratives to create films that connect deeply with audiences.
Before joining CAT in 2024, Swathy worked as an Environmental Graphics Artist and Storyteller at Enterspace, where he contributed to spatial storytelling through environmental graphics and visual narratives within designed environments.His animated film Anpu reflects his interest in stories that question and observe cultural practices through a deeply personal lens. Through both filmmaking and teaching, Swathy continues to explore animation as a medium for thoughtful and emotionally resonant storytelling.
